Long View earns laurels from Microsoft Licensing with Platinum Level Operational Excellence Award

CALGARY, Alberta (October 24, 2012) — There are all kinds of licenses out there . . . a license to drive, a license to fly, a license to fish, even 007’s license for that nasty bit of business. When it comes to Microsoft Licensing, Long View now has even more proof that it is a true industry leader in managing its clients’ software compliance, assets, and needs.

Long View (longviewsystems.com), one of North America’s most dynamic providers of IT consulting, outsourcing solutions, and cloud services, is pleased to announce that it has won the 2012 Microsoft Licensing Platinum Level Operational Excellence Award. Chosen from a continental field of top Microsoft partners for delivering market-leading operational excellence in supporting Microsoft technology, Long View will receive the accolade from Microsoft at the FY13 Roundtables Conference award ceremony in November 2012.

“Winning this award demonstrates Long View’s commitment to producing best-in-class licensing solutions,” says Sarah Morreau, Long View’s Director for Licensing and Contract Management. “We are honoured to accept this award, and would like to thank both our valued customers and Microsoft.”

Long View’s Microsoft Licensing team strives for continual excellence by optimizing its clients’ existing software investments, and deploying best practices in software use, procurement, deployment, and financial investment. Not only does Long View have trusted Large Account Reseller (LAR) status with Microsoft — it has also been a multiple-time winner of a Microsoft LAR Partner of the Year award, and has previously been recognized by Microsoft for Operational Excellence.

Winners of 2012 Microsoft Licensing Platinum Level Operational Excellence Awards were chosen from a pool of more than 30 entrants in Canada and the U.S.

Long View was recognized for superior operational excellence, and meeting or exceeding specific requirements for the number of valid agreements in a variety of categories, as well as the number of on-time and valid order submissions and revenue reconciliation.

Platinum Level winners demonstrated their ability to collaboratively influence performance metrics not completely under their control, and were able to drive outstanding performance in their organization’s adoption of key initiatives. By meeting these operational criteria, these Platinum Level winners have illustrated their commitment to providing value and superior customer satisfaction.

“Only by aligning our efforts, and strengthening our partnerships with outstanding companies such as these, is Microsoft able to offer continued quality products and services to our customers,” says Hugh Aitken, General Manager of Microsoft’s Commercial Operations. “Congratulations to this year’s winners for their commitment to performance excellence.”

Microsoft Licensing Operational Excellence Awards recognize Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered operational excellence over the past year.
