Long View Ranked No. 1 Overall on Prestigious List of Global MSPs

Calgary, Alberta – February 18, 2011Long View Systems (Long View), one of North America’s most powerful IT solution providers has a distinguished new feather in its cap — as the world’s No. 1-ranked managed service provider (MSP) on Nine Lives Media Inc.’s fourth annual MSPmentor 100, a prestigious list that uses painstaking research to identify the globe’s top 100 MSPs every year.

Previously, Long View had twice earned a top-five ranking in the MSPmentor 100 — fourth overall in 2008, and second overall in 2010. This year’s MSPmentor 100, which was released on Wednesday, includes industry participants from five continents — North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

“This is incredible news. We know just from talking to the folks at Nine Lives Media Inc. that to even make the final 100 is a major accomplishment. This just affirms Long View’s commitment to constant innovation and excellence in delivery of service,” says Kevin Crowe, Long View’s Director of Cloud Services.

“Our Managed Services team has outdone itself again,” adds Crowe. “Thanks to their dedication, strong work ethic and enthusiasm, our customers reap the benefits of Long View’s cutting-edge technical and operational solutions.”

Long View has surged into its present position as a leader of the global MSP pack, and made serious inroads into a managed-services market that’s estimated to be worth more than $50 billion a year, thanks to its all-inclusive model that draws on the expertise of every industry leading Long View practice, including Storage, Virtualization, Server Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, and Network Services.

Long View has consistently demonstrated an ability to deliver sophisticated business technology solutions and meet exacting client requirements.

“We continue to see accelerating momentum for the world’s top MSPs,” notes Joe Panettieri, editorial director of Nine Lives Media Inc. “The top 100 MSPs generated more than $1 billion in recurring revenues for 2010, up 27 per cent from 2009. That’s remarkable growth, considering the challenging global economic landscape in 2010.”

“Long View focuses specifically on delivering key services and solutions that are critical to the success of our customer’s businesses,” states Dan Sottile, Executive VP Sales, Marketing and Business Development for North America. “Our amazing growth and the fact we continue to be consistently recognized as leaders in the IT industry confirms we are on the right path.”

The current MSPmentor 100 report is based on information from MSPmentor’s global online survey, carried out from October through December 2010. Rather than ranking MSPs simply by total revenue, Nine Lives Media Inc. uses an index measurement based on such metrics as annual managed services revenue growth, managed services revenue per employee, and number of customer devices managed.
