Summary:
● Calgary strong: Long View Systems and the Calgary Airport Authority partner to transform airport experience for all stakeholders.
● Long View will consolidate service providers to provide Tier 1 IT support and management across the airport.
Calgary, Alberta – November 15, 2018 – Calgary-based Long View Systems is excited to announce it is partnering with the Calgary Airport Authority to lead the digital component of YYC’s IT transformation.
The announcement is the latest in a growing focus on the growth and sustainability of Canadian airports, heralded by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s air transit resolutions passed in late September.
“We are thrilled to be the primary Tier 1, on-site IT services provider for the Calgary International Airport,” said Lisa Eyamie, General Manager Calgary, Long View. “Partnerships and relationships such as this are core to what we pride ourselves on at Long View. A local company bolstered by a global, enterprise-like client experience”.
The multi-year agreement will see Long View consolidating support services to provide faster response times and a consistent, seamless customer experience throughout the airport.
“The Calgary Airport is going through a transformation where the customer experience – the frictionless, seamless, stress-free journey through the airport — is being realized,” said Mike Maxwell, CIO of the Calgary Airport Authority. “Part of that is ensuring that the thousands of pieces of technical infrastructure and devices that facilitate the journey every day are maintained at the highest possible level.”
Long View will also support upgrades to the domestic terminal along with a sleek visual refresh.
Long View and the Calgary Airport Authority have been strategic partners since 2011, with Long View providing IT project support, IT procurement and staff augmentation for IT support (a notable project was the International Terminal Building). This new agreement represents a new strategic alignment, under the North Star directive where the focus is on creating effortless and memorable customer experiences. It also coincides with a new set of resolutions passed by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce aimed at supporting the growth and sustainability of Canadian airports, suggesting the North Star plan will find fertile soil for growth.
