Long View becomes Cisco’s first global partner to earn Cisco Gold Certification with Hybrid IT

CALGARY, Alberta and DENVER, Colorado (June 5, 2015) — Long View has become the first of Cisco’s global partners to complete the new Cisco® Gold Certification with Hybrid IT requirements. Cisco Systems’ new Gold-certification requirements validate the evolution of the channel with integration hybrid IT services, such as Cisco-powered cloud services and Cisco-based, partner managed cloud services, into their portfolios. To earn Gold Certification, Long View had to meet rigorous standards set forth by Cisco in networking competency, service, and support and customer satisfaction.

“We’re really proud of our team for achieving Cisco Gold with Hybrid IT. This validates our commitment to Cisco, and confirms that we are a world-class Hybrid IT provider,” says Kent MacDonald, Vice President of Converged Infrastructure and Network Services at Long View (longviewsystems.com).

“In addition to the new certification, we have also renewed our Master Cloud and Managed Services Certification, along with our Master Collaboration Certification,” adds MacDonald. “Achieving these certifications is a validation of the expertise of our people, and the quality of our services around the design, implementation, and ongoing support of Cisco environments. Thank you to Cisco for their collaboration and counsel throughout the process of becoming Cisco Gold Hybrid IT certified.”

“We are committed to providing the tools, training and programs that facilitate partner growth, differentiation, and profitability,” says Edison Peres, senior vice president of worldwide channels at Cisco. “With specializations in unified communications, routing and switching, security, and wireless LAN, Long View has made an investment in developing the capability to deliver the integrated and customized technology solutions that today’s customers demand.”

The Cisco® Channel Partner Program provides a framework for partners to build the sales, technical and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills required to deliver Cisco solutions to end customers. Through the program’s specializations and certifications, Cisco recognizes a partner’s expertise in deploying solutions based on Cisco advanced technologies and services. Using a third-party audit process, the program validates a partner’s technology skills, business practices, customer satisfaction, presales and post-sales support capabilities, and other critical factors that customers consider when choosing a trusted partner.

As a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, Long View has met the requirements for attaining the broadest range of expertise across multiple technologies by achieving Cisco advanced specializations in multiple areas, including enterprise networks architecture, security architecture, collaboration architecture, data center architecture, and/or service provider architecture. In addition, Long View has integrated Cisco Hybrid IT, the resale of cloud and managed services, into its offerings and is required to ensure high customer satisfaction in collaboration with Cisco.

Cisco Gold Certification provides Long View with access to comprehensive sales, technical, and lifecycle services training and support available from Cisco.
