Calgary, AB – January 18, 2018 – Long View announced today that its Board has appointed Brent Allison as CEO effective February 12, 2018.

“This is the perfect time for Brent Allison to become Long View’s next Chief Executive Officer.  As a strong and dynamic leader, Brent joins us at a time when Long View is poised for continued growth through delivering innovative solutions and facilitating digital transformation for our clients,” said Executive Chairman Don Bialik. “Today’s pace of change is exponential. Every business today, public and private, is navigating their own digital transformation, overcoming disruptive markets and Long View’s supportive role in this digital transformation has never been more important. As our next CEO, Brent is uniquely qualified in his ability to translate vision and strategy into world-class execution. He is an ideal fit for Long View’s culture and has a long track record in both Canada and the USA of inspiring, energizing, and connecting with employees, customers and partners. Brent’s leadership style is exactly what Long View needs as we enter this next chapter in our 100 year journey.”

Brent was most recently with TELUS as their SVP, Business Futures. In his previous roles, he has been SVP for Marketing, Strategy & Planning and Partner Solutions & Enterprise Planning at TELUS.  He has dedicated his career to building high-performance teams and cultures.  With 23 years of experience, he is a passionate believer in the power of building and nurturing strong relationships.  Brent is also Vice Chair of TELUS’ Manitoba Community Board and is Chair of TELUS Spark Science Centre in Calgary.  Brent holds an MBA from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.  He was named to Avenue Magazine’s “Calgary Top 40 under 40” class of 2009.

Brent commented, “Although the digital revolution is well underway, leadership teams are struggling to securely reinvent cost structures while also improving customer experiences.  With an ongoing shortfall of tech professionals this presents an amazing leadership opportunity for Long View.  Companies need more than transactional cloud sales, expensive custom system integration or standard network sales.  They are in need of local trusted advisors with deep and broad digital experiences who will stay with them for the journey.  Who better to help enterprise and mid-sized corporations securely navigate, procure and configure managed services than Long View?”

As Brent takes on the CEO role, Don Bialik will move to Executive Chairman and continue to be active in Long View.
