Our engagement with you starts with ensuring that you understand how the IT procurement marketplace functions. Applying this knowledge to each specific customer, we then work closely with you to arrive at a unique value proposition that takes into account your procurement volumes, product mix and the services you would like us to perform for you.
Using this information we prepare a transparent pricing mechanism which will form the basis of our relationship moving forward. At the onset of our relationship, we will guide you through an on-boarding process that ensures our processes are properly adjusted and integrated to your procurement systems, and that all of your chosen manufacturers understand our role in your procurement processes.
Our contract governance team uses this initial on-boarding process to establish a customized governance calendar that will ensure that you receive the maximum value from our relationship and that all SLA’s and other commitments within our agreement are fulfilled.

PaaS - A New Approach to Procurement
The nature of traditional procurement transactions is such that organizations often lack the information needed to truly assess whether or not the price quoted to them is reasonable in relation to their needs; this lack of transparency can lead to distrust.
Long View’s Procurement as a Service (PaaS) puts transparency back into the purchasing process by pricing all goods on a “cost plus” basis – the plus being an agreed upon margin in return for a predetermined set of services. This transparent pricing policy makes our cost of acquisition both visible to and auditable by our clients.
The pricing mechanisms associated with IT products are complex and varied. Long View understands these mechanisms and will put them to work for you. When working under a PaaS arrangement, we work jointly to apply all of the tools available to reduce the cost of product acquisition from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
A Structural Pricing Model
Our procurement pricing is based on numerous factors. First, we understand that different products attract different margins in the market. Second, we are able to offer declining margins as volumes increase through efficient procurement management. Third, pricing is dependent on the value added services you may request or require from us.
It is the service based approach which is truly unique. We understand that while the acquisition of IT products is necessary, it does not directly add value to your business. We bring our expertise in the field of IT procurement to bear on your business, building a customized program of services with you to meet your needs.
Through our extensive supply chain, we work on behalf of our customers to minimize the cost of product acquisition. Long View has developed strong relationships with major distributors in the industry, allowing us access to a broad range of products at highly competitive prices, which we pass on to our clients. We also have established direct purchasing relationships enabling us to offer our clients extensive options in terms of balancing product availability vs. price. Our line card of manufacturers includes quality brands by Adobe, APC, Cisco, Citrix, Dell, EMC, HP, IBM, Microsoft, NetApp, Symantec, VMware and more.
