FlexPod

I’m singing those words right now to that all familiar tune about a soft rectangular item one purchases for comfortable sleeps.  If a catchy jingle is all it takes to make a good point, I’ve got to start thinking up a jingle of my own for this very good question.  It makes me think about all the reasons an organization might choose someone else other than Long View to help them procure, configure and manage a FlexPod.

Ok let’s look at this preposterous notion.

I would imagine this would happen only if…

They were not aware that Long View had deployed over 100 Converged Infrastructures, and fully managing over 70% of those infrastructures

Only if…

They had not been made aware of the significant awards and achievements Long View had acquired due to technical & sales depth for key partners that make up the FlexPod integrated stack – like 4 years & 3 years in a row as Partner of the Year for Cisco & NetApp respectively.

Only if…

Perhaps they just needed some more information on Long View’s seamless cloud integrated solution built on the same technology making Backup OnDemand a Snap. (Pun intended for that brilliant NetApp technology: Snap Mirror)

Only if…

They preferred to make up to 3 different calls and open 3 different tickets when logging a FlexPod support issue.  If they really would rather not have a streamlined service with ONE NUMBER to call for support, then perhaps they might purchase a FlexPod somewhere else.

Only if…

They were not aware that in addition to all this, Long View offers a free health check of their storage environment as a value add.

So in a nutshell, there are a lot of reasons why an organization would buy a FlexPod from someone else, and no disrespect to those other organizations, but potentially they might reconsider if they knew all of the above.  Long View is big enough to facilitate the breadth of skill required for a seamless FlexPod integration, and small enough to be able to scale to any size of organization.  So that brings me back to my original question… Why buy a FlexPod anywhere else?  It’s certainly worth exploring the answers & subsequent conclusions to that great question.
