Dear Visitor,
My biggest dream for Long View is that it will become a 100-year-old company. I believe this is possible. But Long View will become a 100-year-old company only if it deserves to be. It will deserve to be if we keep our integrity, if we keep developing our competence, if we keep adding value to our client’s businesses, if we contribute to our community, to the lives of our staff, and if we keep having fun. We will get there by learning from each other, inspiring each other, supporting each other and celebrating each other’s successes. A growing company is much more sustainable than a static or shrinking one. Growing allows us to invite more great people along for the fantastic journey, and provides each of us with better career opportunities. To do this I would like to see Long View achieve $1 billion in revenue.
“A billion? Wow, that sounds pretty ambitious!”
$1 billion in revenue is 500 times what Long View did in our first fiscal year and ten times what we did in 2007. To me, we are like a marathoner in mile five of a race. There’s a long way to go, but all you have to do is keep doing what you’ve been doing. Eventually you’ll cross the finish line. Yes, we’ll accomplish $1 Billion in revenue some day, but let’s keep in mind why we would want to do that. From our mission statement there are a few phrases that come to mind: “As many great people as possible,” “Prosperous,” and “Sustainable.”
We are thrilled to have you join us on our journey and learn about how a business, career or community relationship built on trust can be sustainable from year to year, from decade to decade.
Sincerely,
